Other expertise in The English Bar Offshore

3 Hare Court

3 Hare Court boasts particular expertise in cases before the Privy Council and the Supreme Court in the Caribbean and Gibraltar. The set is home to Tom Poole KC who is particularly skilled in constitutional and administrative law, which encompasses public law, human rights, and civil liberties. He acted for the Attorney General in The King v James Miller, which addressed s.12(3) of the Bahamian penal code and the correct way to direct a jury in cases of attempted murder. Tim Prudhoe is a key junior at the set, having represented a same-sex couple in a case surrounding a spousal exemption for an immigration waiver, as the Turks and Caicos Islands did not previously recognise same-sex couples for this purpose (Haymon and Sankar v Director of Immigration). The set is also home to notable juniors Adam Riley and Katharine Bailey.
