- The State Defence Council filed a lawsuit for environmental damage claim against a group of companies, including BHP, for the damage that water extraction has caused to the Tilopozo wetlands; concurrently – and regarding these same facts – the Atacama Indigenous Community of Peine sued BHP for environmental damage. After a lengthy conciliation process, the Environmental Court approved an agreed settlement agreement, concluding the case. The firm advised BHP on its defence in this case, as well as in the negotiations to reach an agreement to end the lawsuit.

- Acting for biogas plant construction and operation company, Genera 4, in two administrative disputes initiated by different community organisations that seek to have the company’s environmental licenses declared null and void: the Biocircular Los Ciruelos project located in Los Lagos Region; and the Biocircular Los Laureles project located in El Maule Region; we are also representing the company before the Environmental Court of Valdivia in an additional licensing case.
