Founder Stephen Baker is exceptionally well versed in overseeing multi-jurisdictional asset tracing efforts, which is also a core aspect of William Redgrave’s practice. Lynne Gregory handles a caseload consisting of commercial and insolvency litigation, with Jared Dann and Amy Benest handling complex trust disputes. Simon Thomas maintains a broad disputes practice, ranging from inquests to financial crimes. In 2024 Thomas negotiated Jersey’s first ever deferred prosecution agreement.

Shareholder and trust disputes form the core pillars of Bedell Cristin’s disputes work, with the firm frequently handling instructions from, inter alia, directors, professional trustees, and trust companies. Practice head Robert Gardner divides his focus between complex shareholder disputes and trusts issues, handling both mistake and rectification matters in relation to the latter. Dickinson Gleeson takes instructions from trustees, HNW settlors, and beneficiaries across the spectrum of trust disputes, ranging from applications to vary trusts or remove trustees, to the restructuring of insolvent trusts. The team is also called upon for commercial and construction disputes. Heading the team are founding partners James Dickinson and James Gleeson, both of whom offer decades of experience in trust disputes, while also handling shareholder, insolvency and asset tracing matters. Guillaume Staal also handles a mixed caseload of trust and commercial disputes, representing clients in breach of duty matters, freezing and disclosure order proceedings and enforcement issues. Jonathan Barham departed the firm in September 2024.

Styled after barristers’ chambers in England & Wales, Ardent Chambers’ advocates are adept at tackling a range of disputes, including challenges brought by beneficiaries against trustees, applications to remove trustees and matters of public law. Michael O’Connell takes on both trust disputes and professional negligence claims, while Michael Cushing is sought after by beneficiaries and trustees in disputes over trust administration and applications to remove trustees. Danny Le Maistre joined the practice in 2025.

BCR Law LLP handles a broad range of disputes, including commercial matters, landlord and tenant litigation and personal injury claims. Heading the group are Jeremy Heywood and Christina Hall, who both handle property, personal injury and trust matters.
