Parklane Plowden


At Parklane Plowden, the inquests and inquiries team continues to act for interested parties in inquests arising from deaths in custody, hospitals and care homes. Leila Benyounes, who leads the group, is well known for her expertise in handling high-profile Article 2 inquests, and Richard Copnall is very experienced in handling inquests into deaths in prison and in mental health facilities. Recent instructions for the team include Abigail Telford acting for the family of Kyle Lewis in the inquest into his death; the five-year-old boy died after undergoing surgery to remove a swallowed drawing pin. The coroner gave a verdict of accidental death.
