Members are active in litigation in courts of all levels, including the Supreme Court, and take a key role in thought leadership in the practice area. Dan Kolinsky KC is a specialist in rating, with experience acting for rate payers, local authorities, and central government. Kolinsky KC has acted before the Supreme Court on multiple occasions, including recently on behalf of fitness centre Nuffield Health, in Nuffield Health v London Borough of Merton, a case concerning if a members-only gym owned by a charity was subjected to an 80% business rates relief. Jenny Wigley KC specialises in non-domestic rating, and takes a key role in test cases and judicial review challenges.
